How are all my mates fairing today? From Cornwall and Brighton most especially! Here on the south coast we are getting blown away with massive gusts and rain! So far no chimny pots or aerials down yet, but who knows!
Check in and say hey! I heard power is out all along the Cornish/Devon area.

See yer in Essex like me Raven.Well have to say that its not to bad where I am and I am actually getting ready to go out soon.Nothing like all those years ago when it left me with no electric for 5 days and being all electric it was a nightmare. Not by choice may I add....there wasn't any gas in the area:-5.Helen in Cornwall seems to be getting it hard though:(I have a static caravan by the sea though...... Clacton way.........hope thats ok.

Not been too bad where I am so far. The wind has been really strong, tree blocking road in the next town on. At the moment it's high tide and it's really high but the wind is not too bad so hopefully it won't get any worse.
Lot's of houses on the seafront with sandbags out and we were on the national news! Trains getting damp by huge waves!
Woken at 4am by the bins being blown over!

Hey Raven good to hear from you!
Weather here has been fine, small amount of rain, but nothing major at all. I've seen pictures and feed from along the coast and it does look nasty. Though saying that, some people still insist of going out in that kind of weather - are they mad or something!!?? :-2

Some heavy downpours here but, oddly enough, zero wind - then we are a fair way in from the coast (depending on where the coast ends and the river begins - it could be that I secretly live at the seaside and never knew it)

Well we live pretty centrally too, so that must explain why we have remained pretty safe most of the day, compared to everyone living near the coast. There was talk that the worst of the weather was scheduled for now, but as I look out my window the sun is out and the sky is blue with hardly a problem is sight, so I assume that will be that for today's gloomy weather predictions.

Yeah apparently the weather is still supposed to stay pretty rubbish for the next few days, with more bad weather due early Wednesday morning, but this time more aimed up North.

well across the pond and over the great plains comes my weather report, we had +15C here today, no joke it was beautiful, and yep not the coldest place on earth after all. And I hear rumor that our eastern provinces are under a tremendous amount of snow.

We survived another wet and windy night intact.
The seafront was closed yesterday, there is a big sea wall but that was swamped completely, huge waves but no houses were flooded that I know of.
Big tree came down near some houses in town but missed all the houses and the road - clever tree!

Yes from what I hear the worst of the weather is supposed to be up North this time. I guess that those of us living in the Midlands were lucky and have been able to avoid it all both yesterday and today.
