And Callie Brown, aged eight, who is in Shannon's class, said: "We all had to go into the hall for assembly. I was crying my eyes out. I have missed her loads."
Which is delightful news, I'm really pleased about that. It'll teach the sleazebag reporters to be more polite to her mum in future too.

I really didn't think she'd be found alive after so long, wonderful news for her family and it must give hope to parents of other missing children.

Yes - "the uncle of Shannon's stepfather Craig".
This is tomorrow's Daily Mail:He was a scruffy misfit and everybody thought he was strange.'
Mandy Dixon, 37, who witnessed the astonishing rescue, described her neighbour as 'a scrawny, scruffy, horrible man who had his kids taken off him last year'.
She added: 'He usually is always showing off outside, washing his silver Peugeot 406 car, it's like his toy, but we've not seen head nor tail of him for the last few weeks.'

The English police would have trouble locating a herring at a Scandinavian wedding reception.
Given that the girl had been saying that day that she didn't want to go home and she was going to run away, a relative a mile from her house was a reasonable place at which to enquire.
Perhaps he had no hostile intent in letting her stay, I'm sure we'll find out eventually, but it was scarcely a wise choice if that's what happened.
There is no more vile creature in England than a tabloid reporter and his photographer. I just thought I'd throw that observation in while I had the chance. Not even a disgraced politician could sink so low as they repeatedly manage to.
