For Jimbo - hope it makes you smile

On a flier offering a free haircut

You want ME to look like HIM?

Ok, I know I'm dim

But if I want to please her

Looking like some East End geezer

Seems a little far to go.

Also, are you aware

What I look like with No hair

Just a bald and stubbly pate

And tattoos "Love and "Hate"

On either side my head?

I look like the living dead

Or simply psychopathic,

One who enjoys the graphic

And more Gothic styles of death.

Now don't draw that shocked breath!

The alternative is worse,

Maybe too gross for verse,

As Cloddy's flowing locks

Have to be tucked into his socks...

Hair! God, fashion too!

But I know what to do.

It really must be fate

As I hyperventilate

Turn blue and start to faint:

The answerds bodypaint!

So I'll shave off al my hair

Take my clothes off and go bare,

And to avoid revulsion

wear a coat - of green emulsion;

Be wild and odd and rude

And green and bald and nude!

For Jimbo - hope it makes you smile

I think I'm a wit, but I may be only half right...

Good poem!

Thanks Immy. I should warn you though that encouragement of that sort means I'm likely to post another one tomorrow!

Oh and btw, have you really thought your name through? Doesn't the rhyme go, "Seek for the sword that was broken/ In Imladris it dwells..." :-3 eeep! That can't be comfortable! ;)
