My 10 year old daughter is slightly wacky and loves her friends to call her weird...
She has this habit right now thats so damn embarrassing to me.
If wer'e out and about and meet new peeps or i'm talking to a friend she hasnt met before she just puts this weird look on her face and says "I Like Cheese"
Then silence.........WTF????
I worry, I really do

Well my brother is just gone 20, and he still says all kinds of strange things out of the blue, which I won't describe on here, other than to say they are VERY ODD, and you think your daughter might be mad, what about our family. :wah:

she would fit in great around here...we are always randomly saying stuff that makes no sense....
one of my favorites of my middle son, when he was in the third grade or so, he used to out of the blue say "wait, did you call me fat?"....and he was chubby so of course everyone would look at him in shock and worry.....we couldn't help but just bust up laughing....he still does fun stuff like that, all three of my boys do...
here's a fun one...
they say "Mom", I say "what"...they say "chickenbutt".......hahahahahahaha:wah:
I would tell you not to worry about your daughter, but you are probably very disturbed by my post right about now aren't you??? :wah::wah:

My ten year old is going through the same thing in her own way. As well she likes being thought of as being 'weird'. I think that they are just trying to discover their own sense of humour.
When they were kids (small kids) they could do weird stuff and people would laugh because it is ‘cute’. As they get older some things shift from cute to weird and I think they discover that what use to make people laugh just doesn’t anymore, so they need to figure out what does make them laugh.
I think it is a good thing, don’t worry.

Another random thing she like to blurt out is " sooooooo hows the family?" that one always cracks me up..
Shes a great kid and loves to make people laugh but sometimes I do cringe with some of her outbursts when were out in public lol...

She should be encouraged to be individual. Some of the best people I know and the ones whose company I enjoy most would be considered 'weird' or eccentric or 'not-normal'. Sod the labels and just have fun!!!!!

My daughter once came up with, "Do you know why my mom wears tight pants? To keep her butt from jiggling!"
