There were once 3 boys throwing baby carrots at each other on the bus. I agree, a very dangerous thing to do, as it could distract the driver and cause an accident.

One boy (:D) got caught, and is now suspended from taking the bus for 5 days.

Soooo....the above mentioned boy now gets to lie in bed for an extra 15 mins and gets home about 20 mins before everyone else (cos travelling by car is faster) .... he feels very punished! I fail to see how this is an effective form of teaching him a lesson.

Good job his Mum has 'vays of makin 'im pay'! :D

The problems are;

1) rather than show their might by suspending the child, send home a note to the parents that this is an issue and would they please talk to the child. If they don't, then inform the local newspaper and television station that the Smiths have an unruly child with koodies, and everyone should stay far away.

2) there aren't any t.v.'s on the bus like mom and dad have in the family minivan to keep the children occupied.

Heaven forbid should we try communicating in a respectful manner with the child..

:wah: Well put Rj.

Not to mention the fact that the school thinks they have been very inventive in thinking of ways to provoke the parents into inflicting pain upon the said 'carrot flinger' - as we all know parents are a little 'dense' and need 'poking' occasionally. :wah:

Carrots are more dangerous than cauliflouer but not nearly as dangerous as brussels sprouts.

I think that goes without saying though.

The whole point of the offence was that the passengers were distracting the driver.....which could have led to an accident.

Now if it had been brussel sprouts I would have agreed with the crucifixion punishment :D You have to really hate someone to throw a BS at them. :D

They were throwing carrots, which means they are indulging in healthy food choices. Throwing it around the bus was an exercise in exploring the issues of a well balanced diet, and engaging others in healthy food awareness. they were campaigning

These boys are geniuses!!!! They should be applauded not punished ..........You watch they'll go back to eating Mcdonalds agian now.

Today I received, in the mail, a copy of the 'School Bus Incident Report To Parents', completed by the bus driver and signed by the principal. At the top of the report is listed various reasons for the report - the bus driver checks the one that applies to the 'incident'.

Here's the one he checked .....

'Bringing articles aboard the bus of injurious or objectionable nature' :wah:

I was wondering if anyone could let me know which one applies to the baby carrots, 'injurious' or 'objectionable'? ....... :wah:

Obviously somebody's dealing in baby carrots ... rumour has it they are very popular on the black market. Seriously, its a very serious issue, I've heard of kids stealing to get baby carrots. :D

I'd like to take this opportunity (as a parent who has had to deal with this trauma) to warn all parents out there - don't, I beg you don't, introduce baby carrots to your child - the long term problems that this causes are irreversible. :( :D

injurious and objectionable.......................Maybe the bus driver got confused and thought he was filling out a Cleo questionaire on sex toys?? :wah:

pheasy this just gets more absurd as you tell the story . Do you mind if I bring it up at the next school council meeting? They need a laugh.

On Wednesday I have to have a 'carrot meeting' with the principal - I just don't know how I am going to keep a straight face :wah:
