Who else gets them? I just got one about a little girl (a baby of 3 months) dying because of Shaken Baby Syndrome. Complete with color photos of her injuries and of her after death. Accompanied by "IF YOU DON'T FORWARD THIS YOU HAVE NO HEART!"

It upset me. I know not to shake babies and so do most other normal people. I didn't ask to see this. I didn't ask to have that minute in time ruined by this awful thing.

But I got to thinking...you know how some animal groups send out heartwrenching photos of abused animals and people get all p.issed about it because it's upsetting and "propaganda," well, then why is it okay to do the same with dead baby pictures?!! Where's the difference? A friend sent it to me no less, she should know me well enough to know I'm not going to be shaking or endangering any kids, hence, I don't need to see it. She just sent it mindlessly because it said to. OR SHE'D HAVE NO HEART!

I am still upset. The photo of the young mother crying over her dead baby got to me.

I really wish people would think before they send this stuff out. Or just send the write-up. Some of us don't need color photos. :-1:mad:

Chain letters are really burgeoning with the times! I remember when they were nothing more than lists compiled of the different sex skills associated with the astrological signs.

Obviously somewhere the memo got mixed up.

It should read "give a baby a rattle, not a shake, or ul have bad luck 4 7 years and you'll never get married and ur crush will h8 u 4lyf!!!11!!1! omg. Pass it on in 10 minutes or ul contract herpes on ur face and evry1 will throw rocks at u. Big 1s!!!!11!!1!!1!!!1

Don't worry, Redglitter. I'm sure you still have a heart. :-4

I remember when I first got on the internet, I LOVED getting emails, any-type actually (yes, I know that is sad) now I spend more time deleting emails than reading them.

I don't like ones like RG's described either, and the reference to the animal abuse propoganda, it reminded me of the commercial that they are playing right now that shows abused animals, I had to spend the whole time of the commercial the other day holding my 11 year old son while he cried over these animals on the tv set.....it breaks his heart, we love our animals and the thought of someone hurting an animal is just heart-breaking.

I couldn't handle the email that was sent about the baby, that would be very upsetting to me also.:-1:-1

Yeah...junk mail's just not exciting anymore. I do have to give the spammers credit, though, for coming up with some of the most inventive subject lines concerning penis size.

I must get at least 5 'Lottery Winner' notifications a day. :-5

One time I actually responded to one. Some guy from Africa said he needed a trustworthy American to transfer funds to while he treated his dying wife, and I would be compensated $500,000. I wrote back, sure! Just give me your bank account details.

He never wrote back. :(
