A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but

how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your

angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do

anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing

for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and

be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when

people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will

tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with

much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your

angel w! ill pla ce your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it

means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said,

'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to

come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in He aven, but voices from Earth could

be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please

tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her................Mum;)

I loved it and cried, I just got here for the first time today (I've left the computer logged into FG, but been doin' other stuff) ...I have a baby that stayed with God, and that made me think of him instantly....funny how I always thought it was the other way around, I think of my boys as my sweet angels, heaven knows they've keep me on the straight and narrow and I don't know where I'd be without them and don't care to find out either.:-6

:wah::wah: here in the south we say Momma i know of a few people who say Mother or Mom, but mostly it's Momma I think Mom is more popular in the rest of the country. I know Jacob started out calling me Mommy and i didn't really like it i always thought southern boys should say Momma, he has since picked up on it and now calls me Momma.:wah::wah:

I love the word "mum"....of course, I grew up calling my mother "mom" and that is what my boys call me.

My ex used to call his Mother "Mother"....and he meant it literally, because she was only a Mother to him, not a mom....actually when he got older he called her by her first name, wouldn't give her the priviledge of being called a mom....rightfully so, sadly enough.

Mom's are supposed to be Angels in my opinion, I know for sure mine is....God blessed me with a wonderful angel.:-4:-4

I thought I already asked you to be honest, and couldn't remember if I did...so I just didn't say anything more about it everytime I saw you post. I have a tendency to tell people in their intro threads that I'm from the same area they are and then I never see them post again, figure I scare them away.....:-3:o

Anyway, to answer your question...I am in the Fredericksburg Area.

Are you near Roanoke Rapids by any chance? There is a place called Ralphs BBQ down there that my mom makes everyone in the family stop at if we are traveling through there on our way home.

You should only be about 2 hours away from me though, I'm 2 hours north of the border....so I thought...

And Ducky...I know you are only 4 hours away, I was in Philly a couple of years ago for a conference and we timed it (my mommy and me) I was born in NJ just over the bridge in Woodbury NJ.....

small world huh?

Carol, I have my voice recorded on here in a thread somewhere, you could hear that I don't have an accent......of course I say I don't.....dubsy thinks I do....

I love English accents I could listen to you talk all day long! Aussie's too!:-4:-4

Potomac Mills is a HUGE outlet mall, but that is above Fredericksburg in Woodbridge/Manassas area.

Yes, I am right off of I-95....well further away from it now that I moved, probably about a half hour from I-95....depending on traffic.

and I found a clip of my and my sons voice from a thread from December:
