Hahaha good on you!!

Yeah I've done a lot of travelling on the buses here and thankfully the drivers aren't normally that bad.

Though I had one, where the cost was about £3. I only had a £10 note on me, but she refused me on, because she wouldn't except such a high value note. I mean WHAT THE HELL!!!???!?!?! :-5

Mind you I just thought it's because she isn't any good at Math and couldn't work out how much change to give me, is why she wouldn't let me on!! :D

Round my way they send the buses out with zero float.

If you're on the first bus and tender £2 for the £1.80 fare into town they cannot give you change - nice fiddle when people are trying to get to work.

Well this was at the first stop but at the actual bus depot and the lady had even gone into the HQ so to speak, and could easily have gotten some change or extra money, but all I was told is to go and spend some in town and then come back later. I thought that was some cheek, so I did myself a favour and walked the 45 minute trip back.

I can see where you are coming from though, but she had such a horrible attitude that it annoyed me even more!

HQ policy not to give out a float - her cash or nothing.

I agree though, there are ways and means.

Well at the time I was in such an angry mood that I could of done that, but after calming down I was able to just forget about it, and thankfully for me at least, it was only a one off.

Though I have seen an awful lot of anger between driver and passengers, both of whom I felt were responsible at different times. I don't envy their job, not one bit, especially having to come across a passenger that has been waiting an hour for a bus (which happens a LOT!) Then again some drivers just seem to be determined to take out this frustration on any person, that just happens to make them go over the edge, and that is just wrong.

I've actually even see a elderly lady get that treatment simply because she couldn't understand why her pass was the wrong one. No surprise then that the lady stated she would go and tell the drivers employers about the abuse, and sure enough I haven't seen that guy driver once since.
