Firstly everyone asks me "so where are you off to tonight all dressed up".

I'm like "Ummm here" .( I was wearing jeans a long sleeved shirt and a sheep skin coat ) The difference being i was wearing makeup, oh okay and I'd had a shower and washed my hair.

firstly the barman/owner is behind the bar and stares at me like i'm some kind of alien. He was just staring ....and then he says "what will it be Megan." Now this bloke hates my guts and never says my name. and then he looked at my chest.......... Okay so I had a button undone ..Hey you see a hell of a lot more now our days. I'm usually very covered up

then people begin buying me drinks then people start asking why i have make up on and I'm like " I'm female I do that kind of stuff"

but just the fact that i had to explain it is very telling.

apparently i scrub up okay

Anyway i was talking to one of the barmen and mentioned how the owner hates me with a passion and he smirked at me and said ..."Is that how you see it." and I looked at him and thought "Oh **** don't tell me he's horrible to me because he likes me " . I really don't want to hear that right now.

anyway all up it was a pleasant evening and i was home by 11:30 so all is good. Just got a wee bit of a headache

It was not the response Megan or what you were wearing ... you just felt good and confident. It does not matter what anyone else's reasons were, you felt good .. well except for the headache :D Good for you Megan :-4

Well, just goes to show, you must look good with or without makeup if the bartender likes you.

Enjoy the attention and take advantage of it. I'll bet you didn't have to spend much of your own money! You go girl!

hi fuzz,

since i lost my partner just over two years ago, i've not bothered to go out, except with our ladies darts team once a week.

most of my friends are "couples " and im afraid you tend to be viewed as a bit of a threat to their husbands when your on your own !!!

anyway, about three months ago i bumped into my partners best friend, not seen him since the funeral and he was a bit shocked that i'd withdrawn into myself.

i've known him for well over 20yrs so theres not much we cant say to each other, we had a few " deep and meaningful " conversations and he made me see a lot of sense.

since then i've bought myself some new clothes and make up and had a few saturday nights out and im now begining to get my confidence back.

like you i can scrub up pretty well too :D and suddenly im not being treated like the little mouse who fades into the background all the time.

now im begining to live again thanks to the "AVON " make up company :wah:

you go girl......... we're a long time dead.

BTW I'm fine and dandy.....sort of.:o

I've rented a beach house that I'm moving into tomorrow. The kids are stoked and very excited. Well, one of them is ...........the other one has the flu but he'll be right in a few days.

It's a sweet little cottage that's nice and cosy and it's mostly furnished (thank god, not much moving to do) and it has a little granny flat out the back so Brett will be happy to have a bit of independence. Not to mention we'll be living at his favourite fishing spot. At last he'll be able to go night fishing. We'll never see the boy.

Only one problem it has a wood stove. I don't know how to cook in a wood stove. I know anything that is baked in one comes out smelling and tasting exceptional, so this will be a learning curve for me.

Well once again I have fallen on my feet proving my dad correct once again.

I can't wait to go for morning walks and runs and watch the sun come up over the sea. there's no internet connection down there so i'll only be around when I come to the house and use my own pc. (which apparently I'll have the freedom to do *shrugs*)

So anyway guys i'm moving on down the road :driving::-6:D

(((Hugs))) Thats great news Fuzzy! Take care and pop in to update us whenever you can! :-4
