Agree or Disagree?

Thanks to DNA, many men previously convicted of various crimes have, and are, being released for crimes that they never committed, some, after as long as 24 years. I always thought that there was compensation that was paid to these people to help them re-adjust and to compensate them for wages lost.
Apparently that is not so. It seems that they are turned loose without even the new set of clothes and the $100. That is injustice. The system wrongfully convicted them and the system has a responsibility to do everything to right the wrong and help them re-adjust to society. In fact, there should even be legislation to that effect. The current situation in Dallas, Texas is tragic.

On the other hand, lawyers put them in jail. If there was any justice, all responsible would be punished.

I don't think that arresting cops are the problem. I think it's (evidence?) that is presented at trial, coupled with aggressive, overly ambitious District Attorneys that are prosecuting the cases.

I believe that over here compensation is fairly automatic in those circumstances.

I hope that these released folks would have some friends and family to help them get back into a "normal" life. I just can't imagine the "culture shock" after being incarcerated for a long length of time. What these folks need is their dignity back and an apology from somebody.Temporary financial compensation should also be available.
