Only about certain things....
Friday the 13th, black cats, those are good luck to me.
But I faithfully toss salt over both shoulders if I spill it.
I also won't walk under a ladder.
I make a wish when I and another person say the same thing at the same time.
I make wishes when turning my necklace clasp around.
I throw coins in fountains.

well i don't walk under ladders,
and i toss salt over my shoulder if i spill it,
i x them out on the windshield if a black cat crosses my path.
the same person that opens a pocket knife has to be the one who closes it,
i have to go out the same door i came in when i go to somebody's house.
there are more but i can't think of them right now!:wah:
if i remember more i will add them later!
what can i say, us southerners are a superstitious bunch! :wah::wah::wah:

A couple of those are new to me.
I know that if someone gives you a knife as a gift, you have to give them a penny so it doesn't sever your friendship.

I always read the sports section first
I read magazines from back to front
When a black cat crosses my path I always rearrange my junk
And I never put a period after posting a superstition

Well I for one has hated today.I have opened my fridge door and the new bottle of milk....all 6 pints of it.....fell out and it took me ages to clear it all up and a short while ago on the way out I tripped up and fell flat on my face.I had terrible trouble getting up as there was nothing I could get hold of to help me and I suffer from a slip disc so it was so painful.I got up somehow and now im in agony as ive hurt me ribs and other parts of my body.So Friday 13th I wont forget in a hurry thats for sure:sneaky:

Ah Yes, the old unlucky Friday the 13th!!! I really was never shaken by that event, until one day at work, when myself & about 20 others were laid off! Eventually found another job, and about 2 or 3 years later on another "Friday the 13th" morning, I was joking with a few of my fellow workers about not liking Friday the 13th. Cause that's the only time I was ever laid off before. Come that same afternoon, you guessed it, myself and several others were laid off, (including 2 of the ones I told) & it was just a few days before "Thankingiving Day" holiday!
Wasn't such a happy Thanksgiving that year! Again eventually found another job!
Anyway, for the next 33 years of my working career, I was always leary & hated when Friday the 13th rolled around. I'm happy to say, it never happened again, in all those 33 years, & all at the same job! :wah:

the Dutch Centre for Insurance Statistics have done a study and say Friday 13th actually safer.
Unlucky for some? Dutch statisticians have established that Friday 13th, a date regarded in many countries as inauspicious, is actually safer than an average Friday.
