A very good (cyber friend) of mine died recently :-1
Just because he was a cyber friend does not mean the pain was any less for me, maybe even more as he was in America & so i cant go to pay my condolences.
Goodbye Mark, your star shines brightly tonight & always.
Lesson learned = if you care about someone, let them know.

BC I have made some good friends on here and feel at times when we are chatting they are in the same room as me.We have shared good times and bad times and have laughed till I couldn't type anymore and also cried till the tears had also stopped me from saying anymore.I feel I know some of them just as well as I know RL friends.................some maybe even better.....but make no mistake about it.....my feelings and love for them are no less then any RL friend I have and know also at the end of the day they are the ones to hear my moans and groans all hours of the night at times ..........maybe Cyber Friends but to me also REAL Friends and I love them to bits and if that makes me odd in any way......well so what......Ive been called worse;)You loved your friend and to me thats normal babex

I'm sorry Buttercup.
If a friend is real, it doesn't matter if they're "cyber" friends or not, they're still real friends.
I'm sure it is upsetting that distance keep you from paying condolences but you can honor him in your own personal way and I've no doubt he would appreciate that. Maybe there is some special thing you could do in his memory that would help you.
I'm really sorry Buttercup.

Yeah Red there is, when this video first came out me & Mark laughed so hard we cried. Everytime i see it i think of him. I loved you Mark, i loved your thoughts & beliefs (even tho i disagreed with most of them :wah:) & rants & sillyness & attitude to life & what was left of it.
My heart's been heavy since you passed but filled eternally in your light & the essence of your being, you touched me deeper than you could ever know. R.I.P my lovely friend. One last laugh eh?
Here's the video.

I'm very sorry to hear about the death of your friend Buttercup. I'm sure though he wouldn't want you to feel too sad and down, and to try and stay as happy and positive as you can, and remember all the good times you had together, because those special memories will life forever.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. If you don't mind my asking, Buttercup, how did you find out about his death? I have thought off and on that if something happened to me, nobody here would know. My hubby doesn't use the computer. Does anyone else ever think of this............or is it just me?

I have often thought of that AFTR so I have asked my daughter to log on & let people know when she feels she can do that:-6

Hello Along:-6
That's a great idea. It is a good idea to have some FG friends here know your address incase something happened to you. If anything happened to me, Aussie Pam would notify everyone. I also have a few friends here who have my address, phone number and email address. I worry sometimes when I see a friend not posting and think that something may have happened to them.

Sorry Kathy, that tickled me, how do you see someone when they're not posting ??
I'd better go to bed before I upset someone with my silly mood :wah:
I must remind my brother that he's in charge of letting you guys know if anything happened to me, he's currently in Tintagel chasing a large blue though.

i have thought of this many times!
there is no one in my life in the real world that even knows i come on here!
so if something were to happen to me no one would even know y'all are here!
but Carol has my phone number and i might give it to a couple more people, if i disappear one day if someone would call that number then i'm sure someone would be there to explain what happened to me!
