Scalia's opinion in District of Columbia vs. Heller was joined by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr.

Joining Stevens in dissent were Justices David H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer.

Wish it made me feel safer, doesn't.

It's all political window dressing. Little if anything, will change.
