Hi I am Southern yankee.I am sure you are saying. Where is that?? It is in the Atchafalaya Basin. between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. My sister in-law is coming for the first time from MO. wants to know if we have gators in the yard. Everybody ask--NO. But we do have skeeters that hurt when they get you.
I was born and raised in the Midwest. Gary/Hammond Indiana. I am 50, married, and 1 daughter 26. in 1981 I left the Hooser state. Moving to Nashville, then Louisville. But ending up in La. (long story) I have been here 15 years. 3 years in the BUTTE. As it is called. I will admit it was really a culter shock when I first moved here. But I love it now. Butte La Rose is a village with very friendly people and laid back kind of life. i hope to chat with many people here. If you are a Hooser or Cajun. look me up. So i think you get the meaning of Southern Yankee now.:-6:-6
