It's raining outside, not just a sprinkle, but a nice constant shower. I'm not griping cause we've needed the rain. In fact, I used to look forward to days like this. I would get a book, a bag of red shoe string licorice, and lay in bed reading all day.

Now I have 2 kids who are frustrated cause they cannot go outside, and cartoons will only entertain for another 30 minutes. So I've got to put my thinking cap on. :wah:

What do you like to do on rainy days? What do you do to entertain your kids?

Mine are 7 and 4. They are already mad because they are missing their swimming lesson this morning.

I'm thinking of doing some paper mache. My mother-n-law has a huge box of newspaper that's needs recycling. We just might recycle it into our own creations.

That sounds like fun. Mine are 7, 12 & 14. And the big one is 18 but not here. She has her own entertainment at the beach with living with 12 other girls:wah: Am always hearing about their goings on. A regular BB down there.:wah:

we've had thunderstorms here for a week or so....

I'm like you, I used to love snuggling up with a book on a rainy day. :-6

since the kids are missing their swimming lesson you could let them play in the rain. :sneaky: :wah:

Luckily, my boy Archie (almost 5) , dosn't seem to mind playing indoors or out doors and he has plenty of things to play with indoors. Playing a board game is something he really seems to enjoy, with monopoly beeing one of his favourites ( providing we use his rules) lol!

It's the school holidays that drive us to distraction..... there is plenty of places we can go and visit..... but if the rain sets in, then oh boy..... :-2:confused::-2

I would but it's cold, and we have VBS and they go camping in a couple of weeks. Do not want them getting sick.

My son is my outdoor kid. He would live outside if I would let him. Unfortunately we live in a place where you have to travel over an hour to go to a museum or something else like that.

I usually just cranked the radio up and had the kids sing along with me. Had to become more choosy though with the stations, after I over heard my son singing "Don't ya wish your girlfriend was hot like me" :o

Oh man, several. :wah: I know we have a multi-player fishing game, Mamma's Cook-off, Smarty Pants, and Mario Galaxy cause those are the ones I like to play.

I want a Wii fit though.

Mario Galaxy has been beaten by 1 kid. We also have Rabbid Rabbits, Acme Arsonal, Zelda, Super Mario Kart & we had the bowling game until someone left it out of its case and it got scratched:mad:

Oh yes, we've had a few disagreements over games and movies not being put back in their cases.

I went to go watch one of my fave dvd's the other night and can't find it and of course, it was in another case.

I know mine are all in the right case at this moment. When I packed all the movies, I went through them and made sure they were in the right case and threw out the cases that the movies seemed to have disappeared from. :wah:

I have to do that all the time, except I keep the cases and relabel them and just put the dvd that has no case in them.

I should of kept a few empty cases, but I was thinning out.

Tell them to count each carpet fiber.

The last one to get the right answer wins a prize.
