Does anyone here listen to this woman? Laura Schlessinger on the radio? http://www.drlaura.com/main/

Yesterday I got in my cab and the driver had Dr, Laura on the radio. I was surprised she's still around. I though she went out with Limbaugh. Anyway I was really kind of annoyed with her self righteousness and her snide comments that pass for logic and "advice." And I wondered why people call in and take such heed with what she tells them. Am I missing something?

I don't listen to her because she's not available here.

my daughter takes her word for gospel. she is 26. me, i never really listened to her. There are too many of those so called professionals giving people poor advice.

I think the cabbie's probably losing a lot of tip money by listening to controversial programming while a passenger is in the car.

If I was driving a cab, I'd turn the radio off or at least switch it to benign programming when I had a fare.

Out with Limbaugh? :-2He just signed a new $400 million dollar contract because he is the highest rated show on the radio in terms of listeners.

As for Laura she comes on strong and pulls no punches, but while I have not listened to her for some time, I have to say she made a lot of common sense between her sharp comments.

I can't stand her but many people love her. I just think she is a phony. :rolleyes:

I used to listen to Dr. Laura but can't anymore. She claims to be so moral now and states that things she's been involved with in the past are over and done with....that was then and this is now....so let's just forget about her affairs and naked pic all over the internet

Can't stand Dr. Laura, the fat hypocrite Rush or Ann Coulter for that matter. Total bores.

when I was on the road for 5 years it was a lot easier to listen to AM radio because you'd have the stations for much longer and talk radio was more interesting than just listening to music.

I enjoyed Rush and Dr. Laura.

I have heard of Dr. Laura, but I have not listened to her. I tend to heed advice from folks I like and respect. Folks with some empathy and experience and compassion. If that person is up on a pedestal, I can't hear her/him.
