Post by Hope6 »

I want to thank Jj for mentioning angels in his blog and giving me the idea for this thread! :-4

I have always felt i had a guardian angel watching out for me!

Do any of you feel the same way? Do you have any stories of instances where angels may have come to your aid?

Or for that matter, do you believe in angels at all?

For he shall give his angels charge over thee,

to keep thee in all thy ways.

They shall bear thee up in their hands,

lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

~~PSALM 91:11-12~~

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers;

for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

I'm pretty sure my loved ones watch over me. My mom is with me often.

I think we might have spirit guides. I guess you could call them angels but rather than always being otherwordly beings, (which I'm sure many are) I think they are simply old souls somehow attached to us from former incarnations. I was told I have two.

yeah i've always felt like someone is with me, sometimes i think one of mine may be my dad! every since i lost him 25 years ago, i have felt sometimes like he is with me!

my grandmother even claimed to see him once! she always saw spirits or ghosts, whatever you want to call them all her life, and i was really, really sick and she said she saw him come in the room and sit down at the foot of my bed!

I have what I refer to as the nudge.

I gently get pushed and pulled one way or another.

I trust the nudge because its pure love.

I would not doubt that at all. :)

I guess I dont really need to call it anything. It just is and without fail it can be relied on.

Unless....Im going against myself, self destructive behavior, not living right etc. In those moments it lets me do battle with myself.

But when I emerge it takes my hand and leads me.

I think I did have one, but it died of overwork, (and obesity) so now I am on my own.

I was also wondering, if we all have guardian angels, does that mean we also have guardian demons as well??? Its just that whole equal employment opportunity thing.

ummmmmmmm.......i've never heard of a guardian demon, the only demons i've ever heard of make your life miserable instead of helping you! i think they would be kinda the opposite of a guardian angel!

Well, I was told so by one psychic I consulted with and also by a medium at a psychic convention. Both were quite a few years ago. One was just described by his name and the other was described by appearance, name and the place he had lived.

I know I have one. I've got a good story about it. My husband and I were going somewhere and were waiting for the green arrow (turning left) at a double highway intersection. Now, whenever the light changes hubby takes off like a bat out of h*ll...now this ONE time, he hesitated for a few seconds and that was a good thing because this cop car (with no sirens or lights) came from the lane next to us and did a u-turn right in front of us with tires sqealing. If hubby would have gone like he always does, the cop would have slammed into the side of our car that I was sitting in. Now, here's the kicker...right before we left the house I said a little prayer to God asking him to send me a guardian angel to keep us safe during our drive. The incident happened not 5 minutes later. :yh_pray:yh_pray it really works.:-6

I have always believed that something or someone is looking out for me. I read a book recently called "Angels In My Hair" and it totally confirmed to me that we are watched over in some way or another. I have a little tiny guardian angel figure that I carry with me everywhere. :D

I do believe in angels....I'm just not sure I believe in them in the way the bible describes them. (wings and halo's etc.)
Very nearly perfect ... :D

I have two, Sarah and Alan, I tend to refer to them as spirit guides though.

Hope, if you go to you tube and search 'guided meditation' you can find some meditations to help you contact your guide/angel.

great story darlin! :-6

yeah i was always taught in my Christian upbringing that we all have guardian angels, as the scripture i posted at the beginning of this thread says, but what i didn't realize until my momma told me actually, is that everybody doesn't automaticaly get there help, a lot of times you have to ask for them! So i said a little prayer and asked for my angels to be sent to me and i think it worked too!

I've only been a Christian for about 10 years...never went to church while growing up. This was the first time I had ever said that prayer, so I definitely do it a lot more often now. :-6

actually the angels that appear to humans generally aren't described as having wings, there are several varities of angels some that never come to earth and interact with us, some of them are described as having wings but in the bible the messenger angels and others who contact us appeared to look like humans.

i have a whole collection of angel figures that i've been collecting for several years! :-6

FLOWERS FROM HEAVEN

Out yonder in the moonlight,

wherein God's acre lies,

Go angels walking to and fro,

singing their lullabies.

Their radiant wings are folded,

and their eyes are bended low,

As they sing among the beds

whereon the flowers delight to grow.

~~Eugene Field~~

MOM'S GUARDIAN ANGEL

You can handle all that comes your way

just 'cause you're a Mom

But just in case you need some help~~

I'll always be along

To bless you and keep you and guide you on you way,

And help you with your "little angels"

each and every day.

Thanks TM. My avatar was picked because my dog breed is supposed to resemble a polar bear...he's a Great Pyrenees...look 'em up sometime and you'll see what I mean. They are also very large, I'm 5'6" and cannot straddle him and have both feet on the ground. I probably talk about him more than my kids, but what can I say, he's a big time "momma's boy" :wah::D:wah:
