Southern Yankee gave me this idea with her "Pet Names" thread. At first I thought she was asking about nicknames.

I have quite a few because it seems everyone eventually has their own personal name for me which is kind of neat I think. It's like I've been personalized just for them. :wah:

Sweetheart (my favorite and only by a special friend of mine....awww)

Clam

Beautiful (by three of my favorite men who need glasses)

Blondie

Ter-Ter and other versions of my given name

That's about it.

No one ever called me Red until I joined the Air Force, where I met a guy who couldn't remember anyone's name and gave everyone nicknames. Mine stuck for 10 years.



Ginger - by my English friends. Took some getting used to since it's a girl's name in the US.



My "secret" nickname among my students is Big Bird.

Hoppy to many people. Louie or bugsy to folks who knew my granded.

H............ by most people who know me.

DRAGON........... by my two son in laws !!

BIG BIRD.............. by some of my grandchildren.

BABES........... by someone special ??!!

and last but not least MARGE (SIMPSON ) by my boss cos i've lost my voice after an operation on me throat !!

mine==In high school. my ex and his brothers called me Rosebud.:wah: Long story. When I was a kid. my mother's family called me Jo Jo. :rolleyes: My good friend and hubby call me Dar. during the CB craze, my handle was Angle Dust.:p
