The Cooper Union Speech by Abraham Lincoln was outstanding and was one of the contributing factors in a relatively obscure candidate's being elected President of the U.S.

I'm not a big fan of speeches, especially if you know they've been written up and arranged by someone other than the one giving the speech and that person is just reading off a teleprompter. I'm all for having note cards that can remind one of topics they want to cover, or statistical data...so I appreciate it more when you can listen to someone that is speaking from their heart. I believe this is a better way to be able to tell the true convictions they have and what kind of person they truly are.

Hitler was considered a good speaker. I'm suspicious of political speakers. All lies anyway, no matter how well delivered.

Yeh, technology ruined alot must as it improved alot. Lincoln wrote his own speeches, though. I'll read this one and then comment, because I'm not, well, 100% behind Lincoln and his tactics.
