I've got loads of great friends in the RW and even a bit here on the FG....they always back you up even with dumb arguments, etc. They let you know when your wrong or right. They always have your back no matter what. I totally agree with you Carolly.

That's what we ask of our friends (to carry out our wishes) you'd hope your spouse or partner is that person. to me that's probably the most important job of a friend . Who would you trust to bury you? that's your friend

I have a fantastic best friend, we have been through most things in life together. She makes me laugh when i,m down, she is honest, caring and loyal. What more could i ask for in a friend.

I also regard my husband as a true friend as he too is all of the above.

If you have these kind of people in your life, then you are blessed and I never take it for granted. :-6

To me a true friend is someone who you can always count on. No matter how long you've been apart or how much you've put each other through, you can still pick up right where you left off. I have very few "true" friends, but i know who they are and i know i can be myself around them without any inhibitions and tell them anything in the world and not feel the least bit insecure.

I can also count on at least one of them handing me a verbal smackdown when i need it. But she's really a just a big softie!

A true friend is someone who is always there for you, through the good and the bad. Someone who doesn't judge you based on stupid decisions, someone who will tell you how it is and not sugar coat stuff just because they don't care. To me a true friend is someone I feel comfortable telling anything to. I don't have to hide things, or worry about being myself. I can act like a dumbass or crazy and goofy and they don't care. Someone who doesn't lie, or talk behind your back.
