Does anyone here have any experience with Virgin Mobile? I need another "pay as you go" phone and so far Virgin has the fairest money to minute rate I've found. Better than AT&T and Netfone.
Tracfone's not an option, had them, not happy.

The English Virgin is massive.
Traditionally in England we mock Virgin and the company's founder, Richard Branson. I have absolutely no idea why, the man's genuinely idealistic as well as rich and if he asked me for my last ten quid I'd give it to him - I feel I owe him for all the fun I've had because he's been there.
He owns my ISP. I'm perfectly happy with it.
He runs my train service. I like that too. And the local record shop.
Half of what I listen to was only recorded in the first place because he backed the recording artists and allowed the recordings to happen.

My girls first phones were on virgin PAYG and I thought they were excellent. Obviously were in the UK so our fantastic signal strength does not have any bearing but we found the service and charges better than most.

I've been a Virgin since last November, and I would highly recommend them.
The big players here (Bell Mobility, Telus, Rogers) lock you in to contracts, then proceed to charge you "access fees", "911 fees", etc. to plump up your monthly bill.
Rogers will secretly extend your contract for another year if you change your plan. A friend of mine found out the hard way.
Virgin doesn't do any of that. They are up front, with no BS. You can come and go as you please.

Great phone company! Our Granddaughter has PAYG "VM" for almost two years now, & is delighted with it. She gets voice service everywhere, & also text's to her heart's delight! It's also great & makes it easier for us, as we give her PAYG card's (along with other stuff) for occasion's, Bday, graduation, whatever, & she just loves it!!! So . . .

I wanted to tell you all who advised me, that I went out and bought a Kyocera Wild Card messaging phone from Virgin and I'm doing the pay as you go prepaid minutes thing. $50 bought me 1000 minutes. So far I like the phone real well except the ringtone doesn't go high enough even on the highest level. I don't have any other complaints so far. I appreciate the input you guys gave me. It was very helpful.:-6
