on friday i said to sue i think i have a veruka coming its hurting when i walk by saturday when i dropped her off at the airport i was having real trouble walking



i took alf on a major bike ride on sunday and my foot was hurting bad allready but if i put my heel on the peddle i could ride like that tour de france fella amstrong i think i went to church after and the sweat was running down my back it hurt so much



i woke early hours monday morning my foot was on fire , i went to the minor injuries bit and they said i have



A, an acute infection of the joints in my foot which i have anti biotics for



B, gout which normally affects just the big toe

i have not wanted to say anything as sue might log in and worry herself but i'm on the mend now so she need not worry



has anyone else ever had any of these and how long did it last





i'm not having a lot luck with my right leg seeing as i'm waiting for an op on my right knee .... you could say i'm in agoknee :wah::wah:

My MIL suffers with gout and it doesnt just affect the big toe, has nothing to do with rich food and drink either, its megga painful.

My husband had gout, and it can be quite painful. You need to follow the doctor's direction, and no more kicking the 'fridge door shut!

Jim you certainly aren't irritating to me ! You brighten up the forum, and sometimes it needs brightening - I've tried painting it with me striped paint in fluorescent colours, but it keeps muckin up me screen ! So I leave it to the lovely nutters on here to brighten things up !

i have taken the anti biotics and after 4 days i'd say the swelling has gone down and i can walk again , it was hard having alfie as i knew he was really fed up but i was able to take him out via the bike, the worst bit was having to keep the foot up on a desk as soon as i put it down it felt like it was on fire , i know i have been on a postathon but it was so hard not having any human company at all for a week :wah::wah:

My MIL can be laid up for weeks when her gouts bad. She has had to change her diet also....Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:D
