Jimbo, when do you next get to talk to someone from MRI or your consultant? I know it's difficult having to wait for more information, but it can be preferable to possibly misinterpreting something you might have googled on the internet. I confuse myself totally at times by only picking up on partial information (though, mind you, this confusion seems more frequent the older I get :-5)

I know its hard Jimbo but you will just have to be patient (which BTW I am terrible at) until you have all the results. Googling your symptoms can sometimes give you the wrong information and scare you to death  best of luck :-6

I agree with Kaylen. Have the doctors given you anything for pain while you are waiting for your test results? You have to be patient, patient. :)

That word "infection" might be underneath it all, infection which settles into bones like the knee or ankle can get out of range of any treatment and then creep out and re-infect time and again when the antibiotics are stopped. It can take months to suppress it to the point where there's none left. The good news is that when it's finally gone there's no problem remaining and you can stop limping and saying ouch all the time.

A bone scan is very harmless, you just sit there, pose, and they scan you.

I know you must be able to pose well..................:D

Spot is right Jimbo infection is the base of the problem. Now the proper course of action to treat it is next. Your blood work will determine the type of infection. The sooner you get those results the better. Infections spread and that is what has happened. I would press for all results and treatment options ASAP. Bone infections are serious business and you need to be viglant on this for treament options. Keep us posted Jimbo.. :yh_hugs:yh_hugs

i got an idea jimbo my buddy ... so how does this grab you?

gp's ... specialists ... physicians ... surgeons and other random medical people have the same problems we have ... just cos they can open your chest and put a stent into an artery doesn't mean they super-humans ...

they also got a mortgage to pay ... a wife to satisfy ... kids ... a mistress with a sports car ...

soooooooooooooo ...

where do these dudes earn their money/ how do they earn their money?

by ensuring that you and i remain ill ...

so if you wanna stay healthy ... in my humble opinion ...

stay away from doctors ...

qed!

What my dad had was just like what you've described, jimbo, and once they managed to nail it he was back to normal. I'll not describe normal out of filial piety.
