I looked to start a new thread RE: thunder storms...

OMG

we're having a fantastic Lightening storm

not much rain as needed here

The Thunder is actually as "THEY" say " Rolling"

the lightening so close- so bright.

Some lightening will strike straight down - it's scary

I said - now that had to hit something...

Husband said - it's called a cloud to ground lightening

I've never heard that before..?

Have you ???

wish we'd get some rain - then I'd get some sleep..

We have lighting storms like this all the time Patsy, so many are killed by this 'straight down effect'....especially people on golf courses.

a mother, and her two sons were all hit just yesterday at a park.....her kids remain in critical condition,

we have daily warnings....if it clouds over....take cover..

-never under a tree

-never in an open grass area

-take off all metal if your wearing it

-stay clear of all windows and doors.
