I'd set up a secret research lab on an island with trees disguising a landing ramp to get there and I'd have scientists and we'd invent how to make a rocket and a submarine and a space station and a fast plane and a big green one that carries stuff and nobody would know we were there and we'd rescue people and go into space and be secret and nobody could ever take our photo because we'd have detectors.

I would fund a few guide dogs, as a girl guide we collected aluminium foil to save for a dog, we scoured every cupboard and shelf for bits of foil had the tops off the milk bottles every morning for years and I don't think we ever raised more than enough to fund the blooming dogs tail!

Then after all the family was taken care of.

I think I would get a nice farm and start my own rescue center for dogs.

After I had my single story house with LOTS of bathrooms built, I'd make sure my kids had new cars and houses. Then I'd donate to hospice.

Statistics in the States show that over 90% of multi-million dollar lottery winners actually blow it all (or give it away to anyone and everyone, including long lost "relatives" that suddenly, seemingly come out of the woodwork :rolleyes: ) and end up being worse off, monetarily speaking, than before they won the lotto. That's nothing either good or bad, in my eyes... just the way things tend to be. Having experienced it on both ends, and from my brief stint as a financial analyst for JPM and Citi, I've learned that the rich and the poor think very much in the opposite manner, concerning how they handle money. The poor, and those choosing to live at or just beyond their means, in order to impress the 'Joneses', tend to spend, whilst the wealthy tend to 'Scrooge' it.

Myself, I imagine it would be as I've done before, but with earned millions, however... I'd give most of it to others that needed it. Why would an individual change just because they suddenly were handed a windfall, unless something was a bit off-whack mentally, about them?

I've been very wealthy, and I've been pretty much flat broke... not much about me has really changed being at either extreme. I do believe that such change is generally good for people, however... it's healthy to experience both sides of the spectrum. Everything in moderation, right? It's all about balance. Yin and Yang, if you will.

well, its 56 million on the euro lottery tonight and 14 on the english one on saturday.

id sort my kids out then i would never have to hear the words " mum can i borrow " ever again !!

i would put some in a trust fund for my grandchildren til they were 25yrs old cos i think by that time they would be better equipped to use it.

got a couple of friends i would help out too.

some to our air ambulance that saved my son in laws life when he had a motor bike accident.

they are raising funds to build a kiddies hospice here, on land donated by a local farmer so i would make sure that was they could have what they needed.

i'd seek out the lesser known animal charitys, like ordinary folk who rescue animals and keep them in their back gardens etc and help them out.

id buy myself a decent house, all mod cons and get out of this bloody place.

have the holiday of several life times, buy horses to teach the grand kids to ride and pay someone else to do the dirty work that ive always had to do.



just a shame i havnt bought a lottery ticket...............................:rolleyes:
