Whew! I'm tuckered!:yh_sweat

TS Fay has been whooping our butts with all the rain. A lot of rain after a drought makes for lots of trees to go "TIMBER!" But I've always wondered if they are attracted to asphalt. Why do they always fall in the road instead of an unpopulated area from whence they came?

Yesterday the trees and wrecks and power line kept us busier than maggots on dead meat. So, I was already tired when my boss called at 9pm to tell me I had to be here at 5 am and work 10 hrs.

But when I got here Fay was nearly gone, just a little rain. We have a lot of power outages but they are slowly coming back on. And now the sun is shining!

We may get some storms this afternoon, cross your digits it's after 3pm

I think Fay is getting a bad rap. Im sure Fay has some redeeming qualities that we could explore.

Easy for you to say, you probably don't live anywhere near her:D

Oh goodness and here is me moaning about the rain. It must be awful to live somewhere were you get such extreem and dangerous weather. Take care.

Fay brought some wind and lots of sparodic rain here where I live. Nothing serious.

It's not nice to hate Mother Nature.

for a tropical storm she has really been a B----. on FLA. heard in some areas there were over 2 feet of rain. We got some rain yesterday from her. LA. about 3 or 4". Heard today GA and AL should get the worse today. i have a feeling this just the beginning of a very rough season.

That heifer actually turned around and came back to my area with a vengence yesterday!

Drove to work in the rain and 30 minutes after getting to work the weather turned ugly. We had 5 tornado warning within an hour and half. That's a lot of work. Directing units to safe areas and bad areas to be there in case any citizens get in trouble. I handled the weather while the others handled the phones. On top of that we have a new employee start yesterday and she just sort of sat there with these deer caught in the headlight eyes. I thought she was going to quit on the spot! LOL!

Got up this morning to rain and a black sky and thought, WTF!!! Not again! But, luckily enough, it cleared up and it wasn't too bad. If people could just slow down and stop acting like a wet highway was the closest they would ever get to the Indy Racetrack!:-5

If Gustav visits this area this weekend, I may have a stroke!:D
