Dear Chonsi, Rapunzel and Accountable:-6

I can't believe another year has flown by so quickly.

Best wishes for a successful year with your new kidlets;)

WHOSE CHILD IS THIS?

Author Unknown

"Whose child is this?" I asked one day

Seeing a little one out at play

"Mine", said the parent with a tender smile

"Mine to keep a little while

To bathe his hands and comb his hair

To tell him what he is to wear

To prepare him that he may always be good

And each day do the things he should"

"Whose child is this?" I asked again

As the door opened and someone came in

"Mine", said the teacher with the same tender smile

"Mine, to keep just for a little while

To teach him how to be gentle and kind

To train and direct his dear little mind

To help him live by every rule

And get the best he can from school"

"Whose child is this?" I ask once more

Just as the little one entered the door

"Ours" said the parent and the teacher as they smiled

And each took the hand of the little child

"Ours to love and train together

Ours this blessed task forever."

That should last until about the 1st time you get a spit wad upside the head and find a frog in your purse.

Thanks Kathy, and all the best to you, Chonsi, and all the other teachers in the Garden. :-6

This is definitely going to be different for me. Instead of my little universe that I control and no one else understands (or even wants to enter :yh_giggle) I'll have three different teachers whom I will coteach with. Six classes of different students each period instead of the same group all day. That's over 200 names to remember! And I have 21 special ed kids that I track as case manager. Only one familiar name on the whole list, but I'm sure I know a few more.

I think I need skates. :wah: This is definitely going to be challenging but great fun, I'm sure.

Woooooo Accountable...that is a tough schedule. I've taught inclusion for most of my years in the school that I'm in now as the classroom teacher. I had a few supporting inclusion teachers with me everyday. It was nice to have adults in the class with me.

You have a tough road ahead of you, but I know you're up for the challenge. Best wishes for a great year:-6

Good luck Bro' on the new year ahead. Your niece just had her 9th grade orientation today and she starts on the 24th. Feel old yet? :wah:

Rmember when you visted Oki and she was in a baby carrier?

Great, now I feel old..........Damn!

It feels really weird that she's the same age as my students, yeh. :(

Thanks, I think. ;)

Never stop telling her how strong and smart she is. She is her worst critic, which is as it should be, I guess. This is the time that girls start acting stupid so boys won't feel intimidated by them. Good luck, boyo.

Ha-at our meeting today the Band Teacher told me there is an extra piano. I happen to have a nice big science storeroom. I told him it would be ready Friday for him to roll it down and keep in there. It will be like a private music practice room, I am going to tutor the flute section this year. Oh what fun!
