I joined here on July 22, and up until today, September 3, I have done

1060 posts! Is this average, below average, above................?

Do I get a prize or anything? LOL!

You have done great remember its not the quanity of the post it is the quality of them as well.

Averages are hard to work out across the site though because the members have such different usage patterns. There's been around 7000 members during the 4 years the place has been online and they've posted over 920,000 posts but just averaging the numbers is a bit meaningless.

What happens is that sometime after people reach 10,000 posts they tend to burn out and leave. That skews the average for one thing, if they'd stayed and kept posting there'd be a couple of people at least who would have hit 50,000 posts by now but there aren't any.

One way of dicing it up is to do it like this. Half the posts on the site have been made by around 200 posters, a sixth by 10 posters and the other third by everyone else. Those 200 posters are the ones who've over 800 posts each so you're one of those.

I wonder why folks burn out and leave..........there is always something here to say and comment on.

I am not working now, so spend most of my day here, when I go back to work, it will only be a bit at night............and most are working here.

This forum is extremely busy, you can leave for an hour, come back and whatever you posted last in then on the second page!
