Music Pastor is ill in bed, and my turn came to bring his family dinner. I was loaded down with roast chicken and all the side dishes. I pulled out his address from the staff book, and took off down there. I don't wear my glasses while driving, so I read the house number wrong! I pulled up to a house next door to the K-9 cop, called the Music Pastor on the cell and he said come on in. So I did, walked right in the unlocked front door, dropped off the food in the kitchen, and went looking for them in the back yard. Only it wasn't his back yard-it was some lady and her dog! Dog jumped for joy into my arms, K-9 doggie popped his head over the fence for a friendly bark, and the lady was amazed I was there. So was I! :wah:

I invited her down the street for dinner when I figured out the address, and got out of there as fast as possible before K-9 cop caught on I was popping into strange people's houses! :wah:

Oh my, I was shocked. Even more so when I was finished with the errand, went back down the street and saw K-9 cop-crew cut, buffed out, polishing his car and looking around. My husband was with me, he pointed to him and said "See that!" :wah:

Good Lord, Chonsi. Everyone's got fifteen uzis there, and you actually walked into someone's house and lived to tell the tale. WOW!!!!

I remember being totally shocked when doing a roadie trip with an American male friend. If we needed to ask for directions, it was me who had to get out of the car and walk towards whoever we were going to ask, with my hands showing, my femaleness obvious and talking loudly in Australian. He reckoned we had a much better chance of not getting pre-emptively shot that way.

I learned also NEVER to take a shortcut, when hiking, across any farmer's land. Which is totally routine in Australia though you shut gates of course. BLAM BLAM goodbye pam, otherwise.

Funny Chons. I did that before when I was young. A gang of us walked through the wrong house and right out the front door. The street was having a block party and so everyone was there not paying attention. I had to use the bathroom, used it and went on my way.

That had to be embarrassing! :wah::wah: When flopstock was up to visit a couple weekends ago we went to a steak house. I said I had to use the bathroom and so did she. She got up and asked the hosts where it was, and I was thinking "i know where it is, why didn't she just wait?"...then I proceeded to walk into the mens room. :wah::wah:
