Fried Green Tomatoes.

I watched it three times in the theater and bought the video later which I never do.

I came out thinking I wished I had been Idgie (aside from the murder thing) because she was so on the fringe of what was proper in that time yet she knew how to cut corners and fit in in her own way. I wanted to hang out at the River Club and throw food to starving people off the train and live in that big Victorian house. In truth I came out dissatisfied with my life which is never a good feeling actually. But the music was perfect, the props were right on and that movie transported me to a different time when I needed it.

That is an awesome movie and hubs loves it also. Also loved A League of Their Own and for a while back in the summer I was gung ho for Field of Dreams. Love to see what people were like back in the day. Also love the Yaya Sisterhood.

'Rainman,' my favorite, both actors played they're parts extremely well and it showed me how others have to live and deal with illnesses.

'Field of Dreams,' of course Kevin Costner being my all time favorite actor, but also going back in time...............if you build it, they will come.........and that is very true.

'JAWS'....................first time I saw it, scared the you know what outta me!

'What about Bob,' silly one might think, but baby-stepping is something I have to also do.

'Titantic'.............horrifying to see what they went thru

'Pearl Harbour'----------beyond my wildest belief

I would have to say that the movie "The Bride of Frankenstein" with Boris Karloff and Angela Langsbury had a profound affect on me. It made me realize that two people despite horrible handicaps could find happiness in each others deformities, and that science could about this kind of love and affection.:wah:

I've got a lot of favourite movies but the last one I went to see at a theatre that made any kind of impact on me was MIB and that was a kind of "Is big brother watching me?" feeling (and no I'm not talking about that stupid reality TV show I'm talking about the George Orwell type of Big brother)

Remember seeing as a very young girl Breakfast at Tiffanys and just couldn't get that young handsome George Peppard out of my mind and the haunting song Moon River.............another great film that I told our Kathy about and she got the video to was The Other Side of Midnight.... Sidney Sheldon wrote the book.....about love and revenge.....it was just such a good film........BUT all time favourite has to be Funny Girl....Streisand playing the role of Fanny Brice.....saw it over 20 times.....know all the songs and even sing some. The follow up Funny Lady wasn't in the same league but ok.And how about Calamity Jane lol.....oh they used to make some good films. One that only the English will know about is a film called...Sparrows Cant Sing.So many Eastenders in it.It was filmed where I lived as a child and some dear friends were in it who are no longer with us.....I got the DVD to it now.............oh memories;)
