Its just being introduced here to Grade 8'ers.

I'm so glad mine are Grade 4 and 6 so theirs a couple of years before I have to make the choice as its a new drug and any side effects will have hopefully shown up by then.

As iv'e said before I work for cervical screening and know all too well how important this vaccine could be for our children.

Wales screening programme starts at 20 years but England doesn't start till 25, I know Australia's screening programme is the same as ours. The amount of 20 year olds with HPV and worse cancerous cells is very alarming.

I still have to make an appt. for Laura and work around her schedule, but she's the one I really think needs to get it. Partying and out and about all the time.

Have you looked into all the pros and cons of this?

Just some food for thought.

A Judicial Watch report said, "Even though Gardasil will not be fully tested for safety until 2009, physicians are already pushing it as a routine, harmless vaccine.

Yes I have looked at the pros & cons and thank you Red for responding to this issue. My younger daughter is a teen and very active and running around with her friends, etc. My older daughter on the other hand is an adult and coming and going, etc. I want them protected against these diseases.

It only protects against HPV and a condom can do that too.

No I have not.

I have discussed it with the youngest who is currently 17 and the side affects horrify her.

She will make her own decision.

I am on the fence about it in all honesty. Oldest is long past this since she is all but married and has been for the past 5 years to the same man.
