I want to write a short note with a gift for a friend of mine and I am not sure if he reads English.. I do know that he speaks it much better then I could speak his spanish...ya know?:o

thanks

La thervetha esta sobre la mesa!!

Is that fluid enough, Floppy? I'm currently on lesson 2 of a very abridged Spanish course which I am sure will set me up for a little gad in that fair land in a couple of weeks. :sneaky:

Oh, that is nice spot.

How close a friend, Floppy?

(I don't know if male or female, I am writing male)

A friend: amigo

A cute friend: guapo

A really close friend: mi amor (don't use amor if female!)

Estimado guapo:

Yo bailaba con alegría cuando recibí de regalo tu!

Besos y abrazos,

Floppy

Dear handsome one:

I danced with joy when I receieved your gift!

Hugs and kisses,

Floppy

:D

Day late and a dollar short! That's you lot!

A very nice man shared his vegetable garden produce with me this summer and recently fell and broke his ribs walking across his horse trough to get into his pasture rather then walk around to the gate......men!

I'm UPSing him a back pad and a can of nuts and enclosed a note that says ' A veces el camino más largo es el camino menos doloroso. Tenga cuidado de mi amigo.'

But it's one of those online translation things... ah well.. it's the thought that counts, right?:o

Well it's shipping now, but I had to seal it up so it would go today and I thought for sure one of you brainiacs would be around to help a girl look smart...:p:D

My real first name is Alonzo, Lon is a nickname. What's that tell ya?
