What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review?

What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said 'I do' to?

What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no longer

measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama had been addicted to pain killers

and acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama were a member of the 'Keating 5'?

What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

If these questions reflected reality, do you believe the election

numbers would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. Unconsciously, it covers up, rationalizes and

minimizes

negative qualities in the candidate "like us" and covers up, rationalizes

and minimizes

positive qualities in the candidate "like them."

It enables us to feel superior regardless of the facts.



COMPARE Obama:

Occidental College - Two years.

Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in

international relations.

Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

& Biden:

University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.

Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

McCain:

United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 out of 899 (meaning that, like

George Bush, McCain was at the bottom of his class)

Palin:

Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester

North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study

University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism

Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester

University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism

Now, which team has the educational background and achievement to lead the

most influential nation in the world? CAN WE SURVIVE ANOTHER DUMBO IN THE

WHITEHOUSE?

McDumbo is bad enough but its animal killer Palin who troubles me more. I can't stomach that one.

McCain would be in charge of making coffee for the senate sub-sub-subcommittee of interstate yarn inspection because the party would not have given him a dime or an endorsement.



That race thing swings both ways.



Unfortunately, if you peel away the melanin and allow that Obama hasn't been around long enough to experience his own Keating 5 thing (rather than he's more honest), there's no real difference between the two.



They're both supporting this socialist takeover, both for growing the government in the areas of healthcare, energy, and education - none of which are areas delegated to the federal government by the Constitution.



Take a minute ... and think about it.

How did you arrive at the conclusion hes dishonest and lacking integrity ?

Whats he done to make you naturally assume he lacks character ?

McCain was elected to the senate in 1987, and the Keating scandal came to a head in 1989.

Obama wouldn't be making coffee (if he were following McCain's example)... he would be under investigation for a major scandal by now. Palin is already mired in scandal and cover up in less than two years as well. All due to poor judement and inexperience.

Talent rises to the top, as they say.

Acc, I have taken a moment... many moments actually and thought

about it.

I have heard that a write-in vote is a vote for McCain and I just can't

do that. The choices aren't the greatest, there are problems with all

of them but what do you do in that case? I prefer to support the best

one with the least "faults". After all, you can't get experience being

president until you in fact ARE president, right? So that's what I have

to look at.

I've watch time and again as he said what he thought the crowd wanted to hear, then backpedal or jettison long-term relationships when someone reacted differently than he expected. He's a standard politician dancing to the standard politician polka. There's no real change in him, any more than there is in McCain.

This time there is no lesser between the two evils. I don't see the difference in one or the other, so my protest vote won't hurt a thing.

Ouch! I'm not taking that personally only because I know how testy you get this close to hockey season. (no, I have no idea if that statement's accurate or not :p)



If your guy turns out to win we lose, even if he is 100% sincere and devoid of all of the negative politician-like characteristics.



Of course, we lose if McCain wins, too.

We'll muddle through somehow.
