Some of you might not posess what I like to refer to as "vision" but see what you think about this.
Once a year I make a big pot of split pea soup loaded with potatos and carrots, ham, celery, onion, garlic.
What about instead of ham.........................................fried keilbasa !!!!!

Ham is the ticket. Personally, I don't care for split pea soup, but hubs loves it.

Here's a case for substituting RABBIT instead of ham or keilbasa.
Rabbit is healthier and would be far more acceptable to your Jewish and Muslim friends. Oh, no Jewish or Muslim friends? Maybe that's why. Split Pea Soup with rabbit and your other ingredients PLUS, add two cups of Burgundy wine. Yum
