Besides visiting FG------------There is such a wealth of information available to us on the internet I am curious to know if FG members seek it out.For example-------one of the members is concerned about their Thyroid and has asked other members for info. Wow-----there is a huge about of info on the internet dealing with Thyroid problems and written by authoritive sources.
For any one with any kind of medical condition you can find support groups and drug uses for various illnesses, which drugs interact with each other, explanations of various medical procedures. Finance, history, religion, politics, etc. are all available with the click of a mouse. Just think, 20 years ago you would have to march down to your library to MAYBE find what is now available to you through the internet. I have gone into GOOGLE searches thinking to myself "I'll bet they can't come up with anything on this subject", and voila, up comes 100 plus hits. Amazing!!
So tell me--------what kind of things have you looked up and were you surprised at what you could find?

I use the internet for everything!
Work related I use it for makingtax payments, etc, for shipping packages and freight shipments placing orders....tons of stuff. I do alot of my communications with customers by e-mail.
Personal I do on-line banking, paying bills, looking up recipes. When it comes to anything medical I really like the side

Business banking, Inland revenue, Online home banking, shopping, research, social networking, reviews, cinema listings, mobile stuff, nintendo ds stuff, music and films, IRC, quizzes.
Must say though if say for instance I had just been diagnosed with an illness, id google it and read up on it straight away but i'd also ask advice off peeps to see if they suffer the same or to learn something from the sufferers point of view.

Nobody in my family starts on a new medication without me reading up on it first. I want to know its uses, drug interactions, etc. I look up medical conditions a lot. Everything from RA to Alzheimers to Bipolar.
If there's a long distance call on my phone bill that I don't know who it is, I do reverse phone directory. I look up driving directions, and read up on area hotels and motels when I have to go away for work which is coming up this weekend.
I look up different and unique drink recipes to try at work. I google people's names to see what I come up with when I'm bored. :wah:
