Oh how true Grey. Petal My brother has had endless knee problems due to not looking after it as per Dr. Orders. My ex has constant pain in his thumb because he removed the cast as you did. It is imparitive yoiu leave casts on as long as suggested I think Dr.s generally know what they are talking about when it comes to broke limbs.

Go get it looked at huh, and see if you can get it fixed as it will only plague you .... for ohhhhh..... ever :(

Also if you do not use your wrist proper, it puts strain on other parts of your hand and then as they are over compensating things get worse.

You should have never taken that cast off early, BAD GIRL. You put pressure on the fracture weaking it. You are young, you may not feel anything if healed correctly, but you are becoming addicted to forums? :lips:

PETAL,

It is called a GANGLION.. I had one removed.

Yes sometimes banging it will smash it. It will come back, and back. It can grow long fibers up your arm.. It a very simple procedure to have it removed. It will also get bigger each time it comes back. :-2

My son's had stitches 3 times, my daughter has broken her arm twice, and I've never had stitches or a broken bone (knocking on wood).

I broke 9 bones at once when I hit a tree on my cycle. (Somebody rolled an old washing machine onto the trail, darnit!) My right arm, right leg, both collar bones and 5 ribs. I was in a body cast for months. But every one of them healed nicely!

My elbow that I broke as a child though, that still doesn't work right. i guess it's breaks of the joints that are bad.

While ganglion cysts can be caused by old injuries, they are caused and aggravated by repetitive motion. Do you type or repeat some motion several times a day? You can put your wrist in a brace for a week or so and your cyst may disappear (mine did); conversely, you can try to directly treat it. You have essentially three options to get rid of it: surgery (not the best course), waiting for it to go away (which I did), or you can try to 'pop' the cyst - since it is merely a fluid filled sack, this shouldn't have any bad effects, though the cyst may eventually come back. Popping is pretty simple - slamming a good heavy book onto your wrist should do the trick.
