I love a Candadian group called "Ian and Sylvia" and would love to share some of their songs. Hope that you can add some music from other groups that I don't know...:-4

Usually, these lists are pretty lame, but the CBC list has an amazing cross-section of music, and I personally believe all the songs should be there.

(I happen to agree with the choice of song for first place. )

Ian & Sylvia Tyson had several hits in the sixties.

They have been divorced for many years now, but they have continued with solo careers.

Ian is a gentleman rancher in Alberta now, but he still records and performs. He released a new album last year.

Sylvia had a successful solo career in the seventies, and she mainly performs and records these days with the group "Quartette", along with Caitlin Hanford, Cindy Church, and Gwen Swick.

Hello to my Canadian friends.....I've just watched a dvd from a series called "The Thirsty Traveler" The host of the show,Kevin Brauch, travelled to Kentucky, Niagara Falls, Mexico and Jamaica:-6



The Canadian section of the show was all about the ice wine industry of Canada. They show clips of Niagara Falls and the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. I never knew that this town existed until I visited my cuzs in Buffalo, NY. We took a trip to visit the falls, and I realized that there was a near-by town of Niagara on the Lake... I plan to visit this town on my next trip to Buffalo, NY.



My niece just bought her father a Christmas pressy bottle of Canadian "ice wine" for $60 on sale. My brother appreciates good wines:-6
