Defined:

A person who changes his or her personality to fit those around him or her. Unfortunately for the personality chameleons: their efforts are often lame or seen right through.

Are you like this or do you know someone who is?

I think they are transparent and usually don't have an opinion of their own, it's particularly amusing on a message though especially when you see peoples opinions quickly change with whoever they befriend posting next... often their stronger friends have differing opinions and except that of each other, but the chameleon will side with whoever speaks last.... it's quite funny to watch I think.....

In saying that though, I do also think it quite sad really that a person is so desperate to be liked that they'd feel they have to sacrifice their own opinions and morals to have that friendship.....

2B or not 2B................that is the question. Don't asks if it is noble or not. ;)

at times I can be different, all depends on the situation....no one is the same all the time.

I'm always me, but like my t.v set have a volume control, brightness control. My opinion doesn't alter, but stronger or dominant personalities can affect how strongly I voice that opinion, or if I bother at all.

I also know people like that, change like the weather to suit their needs or purposes in life.

they will look at you straight in the face and say something really nice....only to later gossip and backstab you to their so-called friends.:lips:

i think its quite normal and acceptable to change personality according to who you are talking to ,in fact i think in certain situations its vital,,for instance how many men get romantic or gooey when out with the lads?how many girls talk about feminine probs when playing the lads at darts,?how often have you been totaly yourself at an interview?,,but in general we change according to weather we are talking to a dominant person,or passive.i find that i change when talking to much younger folk .so the answer is yes im one of the changers

(big happy sigh)!!! Your a breath of fresh air!

This too, is how I feel. The opening post was from one of the first definitions I came across when I googled it. I didn't necessarily agree with it (like the "lame" bit) and wondered if I was the only one.

Like anything, it can be taken to extremes, but for the most part and in normal everyday life, I think everyone is a "changer"!

your not the only one who thought the same!

we all change, for various reasons, interviews, parents, family, friends, so many I cannot list...

I can see myself at my next interview saying, hey, WTH is going on with you today eh?:wah:

c'mon, be honest here.

Great post Chris and yes your right.

However, I have a bright and bubby personality and that never changes no matter who im chatting to. Of course when your around elders you have respect and kerb your tongue and when out with friends ect you let rip lol... People who know me well will tell you that im not easily swayed, I like to find out for myself and then comment. I am not a good judge of character and im usually wrong and have a friend who says ner ner :sneaky: told ya so.....I dont agree with them just because its what they think, I like to have my own views and make my own mind up on people and situations.

Hey Chris, my last interview for the job im in now was nearly 5 years ago and id been working there for over 3 months, they already knew me...Now that was a hard interview, trying to impress people you have spent over 37 hours a week with:-3:o:p...I got the job though:D

I'm never afraid to say what i think, which gets taken the wrong way many a time.

Now where is that bearded, Scottish, haggis bothering, kilt fiddling, whiskey distilling, Party of one ..gmc on this thread?

Talking of him, where's that, shamrock growing, Leprechaun loving, Guiness drinking, sheep shearing, bog trotter...galbally?

WHAT WHAT ?????????????????:D:D:D:D:D
