Kids and their Weird Fads

Yesterday I had a thirteen year old girl in my home. She was wearing a Home Depot apron. You know the big canvas pocket that hardware store employees tie around their waist? That thing. She had pinbacks (buttons) pinned on it and I was in the loop enough to recognize the "Jonas Brothers" and "Edward Cullen." :wah: But this is the "new thing" in the junior high here, for girls to wear Home Depot aprons.
What kinds funny things are your kids doing?

Girls try to wear pajama bottoms to school as pants-we always have to send them home to change. Some of them are quite cute, but they're not pants.

My daughter is currently wearing a mobster hat with buttons and earring on it. Her friend wears a tie and men's clothes. Doesn't bother me but drives my older daughter nuts who proclaims " C, you and your friends are weirdos".:wah:

I remember wearing a bowler hat all the time as a teenager. Kids are cool. :-6

I couldn't stand that apron look around me - sounds like the girl is hiding her weight gain - her stomach - she's not pregnant is she???
We all had our FADS - net leggings - hats - coats - pj's
she's hiding her mid section for a reason ..?

she was craving cheese & crackers - what was it this time - pickles..?

:wah: That would be the same girl, Patsy. No, she isn't pregnant but she does have a round tummy on her. it's just pre-teen weight though, not really fat. She might be hiding it, not sure. I just found it kind of amusing that that's the special thing now.
