Okay we all moan and winge about our government and country (I have been known to have a wee moan on occasion

). So how about we tell everyone what we think is great about our country, where ever you are :-6
I think UK is great because it is home. :-4 I think UK is great because everyone is so friendly and genuine. I think UK is great because it felt safe (well at least where I lived). I think UK is great because I trust the government a bit more than here
I think USA is great for its countyside and great open space. I think the USA is great cos I have some wonderful friends here. I think the USA is great because there are so many opportunities if you are lucky enough to see them.
So what do you think is great about your country? Nothing negative allowed in this thread!! :-6

I'm Irish, I live in Ireland. Its my home, same as my ancestors for thousands of years.
I don't think it takes much explaining why I love it, its Ireland, its the place my people come from. :-6

I love Cornwall.
The views are stunning, the rugged coastline, St Michaels Mount, great surf, warm climate, palm trees, pasties, saffron cake and Cornish Clotted Cream.
Relaxed lifestyle, cornishmen do it dreckly

This explains it all for me:-6
AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM
Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature’s gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history’s page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We’ll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who’ve come across the seas
We’ve boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

I love Northern Ireland ... Goodness knows we've had our troubles but I love it. In fact Ireland as a whole is a beautiful country, the people are warm and friendly.
I love to travel but I also love to get back to NI .... It's home and always will be :-4

Proud To Be An American
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.
That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

He'll be looking for a new constituency after the next election. It'll probably have to be in england.

America is my home and home is where my heart is. I love America in spite of her imperfections. There are so many different landscapes in one big country.
