All this attention regarding McDonald's incredibly unhealthy food. Could it be a cover for something more sinister? :o

Ah yes! But "untreated" Idaho potatos, and all products made from potatos go bad after a few days. (Mold, mildew, decomposition, what have you.)

McDonalds' french fries defy this natural law. (Just like Twinkies.) :p

Are you implying Ronald McDonald killed JFK?

It would be kind of hard for him to hide in a crowd...but lots of room in the baggy pants to hide a sniper rifle.

Sorry, Tombstone, old buddy old pal, but I really fail to see the humour

in this.

Maybe it's just me... an old broad who remembers that time oh so

very well, but...

Hi Valerie,

It is indeed a photo in poor taste. Should I pull it?

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think you need to do that...

I would be interested in open discussion and to see what others think,

as always here in the Garden!!

i think the problem is that it hits kind of close to home for those who lived through that episode. i was awfully young, and barely remember it - though of course, i've seen any and every documentary on it in existence. but for some it was a very real and painful time.

With the amount of time the secrecy has been maintained there is little left to do but make jokes. And wait.

I've been thinking about this and want to ask you guys something...

And before I ask, let me say that I am NOT being sarcastic, I really

would be interested in your replies. If you say you still think it's

funny, okay. If you say you'd be horrified, fine.

What if there was a picture of Ronald McDonald in the pilot's seat of

a large airplane headed for the Twin Towers?

Thoughts?

Yes. I would still laugh (and did laugh at the mental image, thanks). I laugh at just about everything though. It's what's helped me keep my sanity.

In fact, in instances of my own tragic circumstances throughout life I am barraged with similar mental images UNTIL I start laughing. My mind is relentless.

You'll probably see it on the Simpsons at some point.

And you know, I've had this photos for years and years. I've never "published" it because I do agree with the sentiments about it being shocking and in poor taste.

I guess I was in the mood to create a little controversy the day I posted it. (But yes, I've seen worse on the Simpsons.) :-2
