I am curious as to how many check out a posters bio (under additional information) before responding to a post. I always do, and find it can save some possible embarassment. Too bad some posters choose not to say anything about themselves.

I very seldom check it out. I think it could be because most of the time, there is no info.

I only look at bios when someone says something bizarre. Or when I'm spying on them to see what thread they're in.

I think, the lure of the posts in a message board online is that the nature of it makes it the greatest equalizer. In cyberworld, we are all ageless, genderless, borderless, physical ghosts but almost palpable mental substances ( unless we choose not to). The personalities we create or reflect is little shaped by the way we look, the color of our skin, the presence or absence of deformity, the thickness of our native accents. It does not matter if we are bespectacled, pimpled or extraordinarily good-looking. We are free to shape our thoughts, expose our minds, discuss our perplexities and pour forth all those that the real world may find strange, inappropriate or high handed. We have a chance to know people, other mental entities, by their ideas, by their obsessions, by their inner worlds.
For all the less we are (ageless, genderless, borderless), we enjoy one other more important "less" in this world. Fearless. Free.
Is this not infinitely exciting?
I'm sooo excited that I've wet my pants.

I figure you get more info about us if you read our posts, I have no idea what I would put in a bio that "says it all" anyway. I think my bio would be rather dull hehehehe
