We have had threads about animal cruelty from young children, but i expect more from a police officer.

This is disgusting. not only should they lose their jobs, they should be thrown into prison by the police and the RSPCA

Absolutely, they should be disciplined for being so soft, I mean why beat puppies when you can drop-kick them so easily?

You know, I was just thinking, the really great thing about baby Gerbils is that they fit really easily into shot-gun barrels. Seriously, they do! :rolleyes:

Oh bless her :-4 My little pup looks cute but my god, I never realised some-thing so tiny can cause so much mess!!!! She has a disgusting habit of trying to put her tongue in your mouth and sucking on your chin or nose. She's just got her new teeth and found she can bark. I'm wondering if it's safe to put the Christmas tree up this year as she appears to be able to leap 5 ft up in the air at anything that dangles or smells of chocolate.

I was heartened to read that the judge is considering prison in this case. I don't think that they will get prison but thank god, we do have stringent animal rights laws here.

Chocolate can kill a dog Not to mention any glass ornaments. I would suggest you don't. We live near one of the dog's trust places and our pup was a rescue one-dumped at eight weeks old. There's a collie there with no teeth cos the owner kicked them out.

There's something deeply wrong with people that can hurt something so helpless.

Rosie! My X wife and two of my old gal pals were "Rosie's". Cute pup though, seriously.

Yes, you are absolutely spot on about the chocolate and the baubles. I don't even trust her with the fairy lights so i think this year we will certainly have to give the tree a miss.

Our puppy was rescue as well and she is a little sweetie. The sucking habit, is i think a sign that she was taken away from mum and litter mates too early. We have two adult Parson Terriers so she's very happy with them.

As you know Dogs Trust, i guess you will know what a 'special friend' of Dogs Trust is? We have been with them since they were called 'Canine Defence' and they are brilliant. They are one of the very few animal homes that has a very strict 'non-destruct' policy and that's why we have had a standing order with them for some years. Do you get their monthly magazine?? called 'Wag' ??

They have some heart wrenching storie's in there. The one that really got to me was the tiny staff pup found wandering the streets with his ears hacked off. they never got the bastard who did it but he did get a good home and there was a lovely pic of him with his new owner.

I'd like to get these people.. Tie them to a tree.. Handcuffed..and kick the fecking shyte out of them... for several days.

I advertise in local shops regually for blankets and towels as i have a big 'non destruct policy' home very near me called 'Bath Cats and Dogs Home'.

Most of the shops round here have a box so that you can buy extra pet food and leave in the box at Christmas but they are always desperately short of good quality blankets and quilts. We often come home to find a sack on the doorstep that some-one has left.

To be honest, i had no intention of getting another dog, i was quite happy doing my little bit for Dogs Trust etc but 'Rosie' was spotted in a cage in a house and to cut a long story short, it was just a priority to get her out of there. She has settled in so well, we can't imagine our house without her now.

She steals small things.. Lighters..Mobile phone.. make up etc.. little monkey she is. :-4:-4

The house we took her from, they hadn't even properly named her but he said he was calling 'it'... 'It'.. for FS!! They were calling her 'Maggie' after thatcher.. well, we weren't having any of that nonsense in our house :wah:

Thanks hoppy, just in time too, that Flight ticket had arrived and i was on my way to the good old US of A to give you a severe bitch slapping for agreeing with galbally. I had also round up my pack of foxes ready to bring with me. :wah::wah:

I have named every pet we have ever had. I wanted to call her something my husband recoiled in disgust at which you won't know of him. I wanted to call her 'Ashcroft' after 'Richard Ashcroft' of 'The Verve', a British band. So my hubby picked 'Rosie' but i must say, it is a lovely name and suits her.
