nope! We have 4 cats, 2 that are bee-bopping everywhere with everything they can!

Believe you me. I've never known a kid like this in my life. If, and I don't make a habit of this, but if I have to leave her upstairs to get something from downstairs, she winges like mad. I have learnt that I have to give her a running commentary while I'm downstairs. Just as soon as I reappear on the stairs however, instead of the usual howl that I've come to expect from children, she starts laughing her head off. What's that all about?:-3

At age 0 to 3 from a childs perspective the world happens "to them" and they will show their joy or anger or dissatisfaction with the world .



Between the age of two 1/2 to five the world happens "because of them" everything that happens to them is because they controlled it somehow or they become the victim they think it's their fault........explains tantrums etc.

At her age (and yep she's a cutie love the second photo last line on the first page.) she's still in the mode "he's not coming back " they don't understand the concept of 'You are going to return " you obviously know this and that's why you talk to her whilst down stairs. well done !!!:D


My voice maintains a kind of continuity for her and it's almost like a game of hide and seek for her which is probably what makes her laugh when I reappear. Even so, I have done this before with other children in the past and they have either continued to cry or have even become inconsolable. That has left me feeling like some kind of terrible monster in the past.
