It's not often I get to see a sky as bright red as this one, it's uncanny. Dawn's about to break and the sky's livid. There's going to be one shower after another all day.

I wish you would have taken pictures and posted them. Both hubby and I are sky freaks...we love to watch clouds and find pictures in them, or watch the way the sunlight comes thru the clouds, or just enjoy a beautiful sky together. :-6

Ive read that in certain parts of the world and only during weather conditions just right as the sun sets for a millisecond it turns the color of emerald green.
Few have seen the green flash as its called.

I have seen the "Green Flash" here in San Diego. Being a native I have seen many sunsets in my 61 years, but only one "Green Flash" it is awesome.
We had a red sunset here last night. For us that means a "Santa Ana" is on its way. Temps will be close to 100 degrees with winds that can cause fires in seconds. :-5
MOTHER NATURE IS GRAND. !!

There's a report on BBC NEWS | World | Americas | Fire destroys California mansions all about it. Fires galore, seventy mile an hour winds, it sounds lethal.
