I know I talk in my sleep but last night I added a new twist.

I thought I'd already been talking in my sleep and had awakened G-man so I decided, mostly still asleep, that I should keep it down. For the first time, that I know of, I whispered in my sleep.

Instead of making things easier for him, G told me this morning that it had entirely creeped him out. :wah: Apparently I had not actually been talking aloud already so, out of the blue, I just started whispering "We'll see, after 3". After about twenty minutes of whispering, he figured it sounded like I was talking to my daughter. He was afraid to wake me up as he'd heard it was dangerous. Having once almost punched someone in the head from a dead sleep, he probably made the right choice.

At least I never told him life with me was easy. :yh_rotfl

Have you tape recorded yourself blabbing the night away? And do you walk in your sleep? I'm more curious than George.

Mr Oscar has never talked in his sleep ever, so it was a bit of a shock one night when just as i was dozing offr, he sat bolt upright in bed and said ' It's alright for you but I'm up the other end of the pier fighting the fire'. And went back to sleep.

To this day he has never talked in his sleep nor do i have a clue what he was on about that night.

I always wake Mike gentle and him me, especially when we know its a nightmare.:-4

No recordings yet. He can't always make out what I'm saying though sometimes I kind of remember it. Last night it was just a series of conversations that were really mundane, everyday type conversations... though I believe one of them was with a spirit guide. I kind of know what she was telling me anyway.

I used to walk in my sleep when I was a kid, which caused a lot of havok at Disney World one year when I woke up in an elevator. My parents, half dressed, ran into the hall to find me in the elevator repeatedly pressing the button for our floor. I'm not aware that I do it anymore, though I'd not blame myself for getting a nice cuppa at about 3am.

I swear this is true. I had a friend (male) and he let his pal stay the night one night when they were drunk. His pal got up in the night, walked into my friends mothers bedroom, took out his tackle and peed all over her bed. Then he just went back to his bed. he couldn't remember it in the morning.

I think peeing in the wrong place can happen when not at home fairly easily. I haven't done it before but imagine the path to the washroom is on autopilot when half awake.

This guy did actually have a habit of doing it in his wardrobe as well. He lived alone so didn't know he was doing it until he found crap in his pockets :yh_rotfl

What a drag. Was the spirit guide saying "time to go to the bathroom" kinda deal or was it "I'm really hungry for a grilled cheese kind of thing"? You didn't burn down the kitchen did you?

One time I made my mother write down a 7 digit number and when she asked what it was I told her it was the phone of a great pottery place.

I can talk to my spirit guide when I'm awake too so I'm not worried that I missed anything important. She'll yell at me when I'm being thick.

I have a great number of a pyschiatrist that you can use.

My OH talks in his sleep all the time and if you answer him he will carry on a conversation. ie (me) honey I bought you a cup of tea

(OH) ok nice, I cant get it

(me) why not?

(OH) because they will get me if I try

(me) who will get you honey?

(OH) those ********* great trucks whizzing past the bed..

I am often reduced to laughter at the conversations we have while he sleeps.

I don't talk in my sleep but I have vivid dreaming I often remember dreams as if they are real and have to check things or people. I also will wake up still crying from the dream or with physical pain from something thats happened in a dream..

Hubby has talked briefly in his sleep a few times since we've been together. Mostly work-related stuff. :wah:

The unconscious is there and awake in your sleep. When my husband talks in his sleep now, he talks like he always did before his illness-giving coherent and detailed instructions in logistics, sending off orders of complicated forms which he recites, etc. The first time I woke up and listened, and was very perplexed. Now when it happens, I listen, because I might get a clue to what line of reasoning still functions in his brain, and try to talk about it with him in the daytime. He usually only last for one to three sentences with me, but one day it will come back, because it is all still there within him.

It means so much to me if i dream of my mum, dad and sister i lost recently to breast cancer. My dad knew he was dying and told me that he would 'come to me in my dreams to check on me'. It's weird.. I have quite detailed dreams with my mum and sister..like a story but with my dad, he never speaks, he is just standing there looking. I miss them so much especially at Christmas but if i dream of them, it's like i get to see them one more time. :-1

I talk in my sleep quite a bit. It's usually about work. Hubby had a terrible time sleeping one night because all night long I kept saying, "I quit. I effing quit." I hate when I'm aware that I'm talking and can't stop myself.

I've never talked in my sleep as far as i know but i did talk under sedation at the dentists once.

I am an absolute coward with dentists and here you can have a shot in the arm. Your still awake but not aware of anything. One time, my husband told me that i said to the dentist "I suppose a shag's out of the question"? Oh the humiliation of it :yh_rotfl

I hate the shots they give you to relax you before surgery. Demerol and atrapine. It makes me talk and VERY cocky. I was having wisdom teeth cut out in the hospital. My family was getting worried because it was taking longer than it should have. It was because they were slow in the OR so they decided to let me entertain them for a while. My sister worked at the hospital at the time.

My hubs always talks in his sleep about work and if I'm awake I'll ask him questions and he answers back and then I give him the wrong answers:wah:

I cannot talk in my sleep. I've tried. I had a nightmare, knew I was dreaming and trying to wake my OH by calling his name and I couldn't get it out.

Very frustrating.

Talking no. But I am told I sometimes sing....

I don't talk, but hubby does that enough for both of us. :yh_rotfl Once while in high school, I went to sleep in my PJ's and woke up fully dressed and ready for school....it was a Saturday. :rolleyes: I do, however, sleep with my eyes half open and it really freaks people out. My youngest daughter is the same way, her friends have asked me if it was true or if she was just messing with them, I told them she got that after me....really creeped them out. :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
