Welcome to the 2008 Forum Garden Awards.


This will be a platform for people to get their voices heard and collectively felicitate the best threads and members that FG has to offer.

I'll get to the point now.

First, nominations for the different award categories will run for a while - then, we head to the public voting that decides the winners.

1. Nominations: These will run till the 10th of December. During this time, members need to list [according to the relevant categories] the members that they think are good enough to have a shot at winning each category. You can choose two members for each category. The members with the most votes will be put forward to the public vote

2. Voting: members will be able to vote for their 2 favorite nominees in each category. Which ever member gets the most votes is the winner. Poll results will not be displayed till the voting period is over.

3. The winners: Winners will receive a medal or badge (I have not negotiated with a graphic artist on this yet so it may have to be a chezzie special:D)

Winners will also receive casino cash.. We are hoping to give each winner at least $2000 casino dollars but that is subject to funds...

Ok so mull over each category and then pm me your votes, please title the pm as 2008 forum garden awards:D

Award 1 chezzie and Nomad

Award 2 chezzie and Jimbo

Award 3 chezzie and Spot

We will let this run till Dec 10th....Once all the votes are in, I will post a poll for us to nominate our winners of each category.

I asked in the op for the answers to be pm'd to me so no one knew who had voted for who and to give people a good chance of winning and not being nominated because their friend nominated such and such.

Odie came up with this idea and we decided on the way to do it via pm.

You cant ever please everyone all the time of that I am sure.

If you want your nomination to count, you have to pm it to me or its void.

If you dont like it...tough. make your own:D

I thought peeps would love this idea but seems not, its running till the 10th, if I dont get many pms, and I only had 3 up to now, it wont be worth running im afraid.

yeah we have 16 already and as were offering casino money as prizes we best leave it at 16 but thanks for the interest

I didn't say I wasn't voting... I have.... I just choose out of principle to opt of rating someone with the worst thread, knowing it may hurt someone

We have had some humdingers Milly, that are FG classics such as the anal and butter threads, its those were referring to rather than proper posts that peeps have put up with thought and meaning etc.., I reckon jimbo only started his toilet thread so he could get an award for this catergory lol

LOL.... being relatively new I don't know people here well enough to make the decision on who I might feel won't be offended, so I'll step out :-4

To be honest this whole awards idea has died a death and I dont think it will be happening anyway, shame but only 5 people voted up to now, that isnt enough.

Maybe people dont like the idea, no big deal, let it run a bit more and if theirs no more voted...we shall let it die a quiet death:yh_rotfl
