I have a wreath on the front of my wandering vehicle. If this cold snap continues, I was thinking about Christmas in the desert.

Exquisite, Val! It's funny because I was thinking about the beautiful Christmas tree video that you posted last year and I intended to go back and view it again before Christmas.

Your tree is lovely, valerie!

I'm going to post a link to a Christmas video on my AFTR's Daily Commute thread that I really enjoy. I admit that I've watched and listen to it more than once:

Every year since I was tiny we went to the boulevard to see Father Christmas. In the first bit of the vid there are two children standing at the fence I stood with my sister and brother right there 40 years ago. That first house has been doing this for as long as I've been alive.

I began putting up lights yesterday

Thanks for sharing, fuzzy! :D

If I could use just one word to describe you, AFTR, it would be 'consistent.' If I could use two, they would be 'consistently wonderful.'

Thank you, Anne...for the "wonderful" part. :)

The pre-Christmas season can be crazy. Take away all the ads on TV to shop for the "perfect" Christmas gifts and it's just the end of another year. I do buy gifts, but just because I enjoy doing so and to let folks know I thought of them....and think of them all year long. These gifts are just tokens. Hubby and I decorate in the hopes that the decorations bring a smile to someone, even ourselves.

Christmas is a day for memories, joy shared, and hope.
