Thanks hun, I really appreciate this. The procedure could last anywhere from 1-4 hours, and yes I'm getting freaked out a little bit more with each passing minute. I know that I'll get to be loopy while they do it, it'll still hurt A LOT, but I won't mind so much! :yh_rotfl My biggest fear is that having one electrode at a time put up each side of the spine, and it's so close to the spinal cord. The appt is at 4:00 central. I'd say I was thinking of all my close friends on FG, but I'm hoping to be too wasted out on drugs to think of anything!!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I asked her to just quickly email me......no word

its 10:45 there now....her appointment was for 4, and I think she said it was a 4 hour procedure....so if everything went on time, she should have been home a couple of hours ago.....she is probably very drained.

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragemet from all my friends here. The procedure took longer than I had hoped. I didn't get much happy medicine as I wanted either. the first electrode wasn't too bad, but the second one was a nightmare. They had to push the tubing up half my back, going thru muscles and such. I can't believe how many times I wanted to beat that doc!!:yh_rotfl It's hard to tell if it's helping my lower back and rear end cuz of the pain in the middle of my back is so sore from the electrodes. I get them taken out tomorrow morning but it's not supposed to be such an ordeal. I do have a 5lb weight restiction and can't twist or reach for anything. The remote control is cool, I get to control how strong the current is.

Sorry ladies...I was in too much pain and couldn't get comfy at all. I was also pretty exhausted from the procedure itself. :-4:-4

I had to be awake so I could direct them and let them know if they had it set for the right areas. It took a lot of tweaking to get to the right spots.

Well now they changed the the date to Friday instead of tomorrow to get the electrodes taken out.The representitve for the company that provides this unit just called and said my center back should feel a lot better by tomorrow so I'll be able to tell if the unit is really working.

Thanks Kathy, but I'm so full of nuts and bolts already that I'm not too worried about adding more. :wah::wah:
