Suffer from Depression?

Bleak, dreary, dark and dismal days are the norm in many parts of the world at this time of year, and along with it, increased depression for those that suffer from it.

Some doctors are recommending switching to stronger lighting fixtures in the home in order to brighten things up and simulate sun light. Make your home less gloomy with additional light.

I understand it is "full spectrum lighting" which helps depression. You can buy these pricey bulbs and put them in your table lamp to buck you up.

This is a serious problem S.A.D is now recognised as a form of deprssion my nieghbour has it. As the evenings draw in she becomes more and more depressed and by the time Christmas comes she says she feels like slashing her wrists.

Last year our GP recommended she get a special light she hires it for 3 months and uses it for 30-45 mins per day just that short burst of light helps to lift her spirits and keep her happy until spring.
